Neurologist

A neurologist is an important partner in the diagnosis and treatment of many types of headaches.
At Limiceph, you can book an appointment with a neurologist with a master’s degree in headache for digital consultations on video no matter where you live in Norway, and for physical consultations at the clinic in Asker.

In addition, we collaborate with neurologists throughout Norway, and several well-known headache neurologists elsewhere in the world.

Limiceph

We can arrange a consultation with a neurologist with a master's degree in headache, depending on your needs and wishes. The consultation can take place via video or, if possible, at our clinic in Asker. The appointment is booked by sending your name and mobile number to post@limiceph.no. We will call you to make an appointment.

Diagnostics:

The neurologist will first conduct a thorough assessment of your medical history and symptoms. This may include questions about the frequency, duration and intensity of your headaches, medication use and any other symptoms you experience. (It’s a good idea to keep a headache diary for a period of time before you see a neurologist.) Based on this evaluation, the neurologist can decide if further testing or imaging is needed to rule out serious conditions.

Treatment and prevention:

Once a diagnosis has been made, your neurologist will develop a tailored treatment plan to manage your specific type of headache. This may include different medical treatments, lifestyle changes, stress management techniques, and other therapies that can help reduce the frequency and severity of your headaches.

Interdisciplinary collaboration:

The neurologists we work with have an interdisciplinary approach and collaborate with GPs, psychologists, physiotherapists and chiropractors.

Reference:

You don’t need a referral to see our neurologist in Asker, as we are a private clinic. However, it is an advantage to have a referral that includes your history and any previous examinations and treatments. A referral is also necessary if you are going to see a neurologist at a hospital or a neurologist with an appointment.

Physical consultation:

The neurologist wants all patients to have a physical consultation, as there are a number of tests and blood tests that need to be carried out. During a physical consultation, the neurologist can examine you more thoroughly and make a more precise diagnosis.

Digital consultation:

A digital consultation is a good solution for those who live far away or have limited mobility. It can be a good start before the second consultation, which should be a physical consultation, either in Asker, or with a suitable doctor who can perform the necessary tests close to where you live.
