What to Expect from Your First Digital Consultation

Your first digital consultation will focus on mapping your headache symptoms. We’ll have a conversation to understand your health history, your experience with headaches, and—most importantly—your goals for the follow-up.

Some patients simply want to identify the cause of their headaches and receive a diagnosis, while others are looking for treatment options and long-term preventive strategies. Whatever your goal, we’ll aim to make the most out of this first session and work together to create a tailored follow-up plan.

To ensure the best possible care, we may need to collaborate with your GP, neurologist, or local imaging center—always with your consent. If you haven’t already started one, we’ll likely recommend keeping a headache diary, which can be crucial for reaching an accurate diagnosis and planning effective treatment.

If a physical examination hasn’t been performed recently, or if key elements are missing, we may recommend one. In many cases, a physical exam—along with relevant blood tests or an MRI scan—is essential to rule out underlying conditions and confirm a correct diagnosis. If needed, we can help coordinate this with your GP, hospital, or a local radiology center.

Should we agree to continue with follow-up care, this can also take place digitally. This is especially convenient for patients who live far from our clinic, or for those who simply prefer the flexibility of attending appointments from home or work.

The exception applies to patients who require hands-on treatment, personalized exercise programs, or have a diagnosis that requires regular physical examinations—in such cases, in-person follow-up will be necessary.
